In the interview, Heather talks about her background, philosophy, and her upcoming retreat in Montana (what a location!). Enjoy.

Combining yoga and sports
It is interesting to watch yoga find it’s way into new areas of application. This story hereshows how yoga is being used by a proffesional soccer team to reduce the amount of injuries on the team.
It is great to see that we are moving beyond the “this way” or “that way” mentality and finding new ways to combine the benefits of yoga with other sports, and exercise applications.
Twenty years ago the idea would have seemed silly and laughable for a soccer team to use such methods (that is, for non yoga practitioners).

Best Yoga Illustration Book I have ever seen
Have you ever really wondered exactly what is going on in your body when you do the Asana’s?
This ebook is written by a medical doctor and a computer programer. Between the two of them they have come up with the best illustration book I have ever seen. It shows you how your body reacts on a physical level to many different yoga postures. As someone who has a background in multimedia design I can really appreciate the time and effort needed to produce drawings of this quality.
You can even instantly download a sample chapter for free!

If you have been practicing for any length of time, sooner or later the name Ana Forrest comes up. Ana has been practicing and teaching since her teens. I had the opportunity to attend a workshop and interview Ana last month. I spoke with Ana about taking your yoga practice deeper, and her specialty, emotional health. Enjoy!

Looking For Yoga Music?
This site is great. They have 24/7 streaming music. There are 208 independent New Age radio stations to choose from. Something for everyone. The best thing is it is free if you don’t mind commercials in between tunes. I recommend Asana-Music for Yoga and Sacred sounds Radio. Just type either in the search engine, or click New Age under Browse Genres.
Enjoy!
